Iyanya Mbuk.  And confessing she was really hurt and heart-broken, the sultry and daring actress told an online portal (bellanaija), he couldn’t go scot-free for toying with her emotion.

“We dated for seven to eight months.  We had something and I thought it was special, like he was a wonderful guy but it was all lies.  He had other girls and other things he was doing.  Aside the actress that was in the picture, there were a lot more.  That is how bad it is.  We were in a relationship and he lied throughout and he was able to do all those things because I wasn’t living in Nigeria.  But aside the distance, I feel if you are a genuine person and you are loyal, you would still not do that,” embittered Yvonne Nelson confessed in the rare interview.

Asked if it was Tonto Dikeh she was referring to as the cause of her break up with the maiden winner of MTN Project Fame, she had this to say: “I feel it’s disrespectful to start mentioning other people’s names. I am talking about Iyanya because we had a thing.  I don’t want to bring in a third person.  There were a lot of names that people know.  There was a girl from South Africa.  I’m not going to mention names but she was part of Big Brother Africa last year.”

The very popular Ghanaian actress also explained why she kept the affair secret even after she had broken up with Iyanya.  While, noting that she doesn’t believe in putting her relationships in the faces of the people, she said they were both protecting their career and fans.

“But if you go through my Instagram page, you would see a couple of pictures of us together.  I wasn’t shy about anything but he could not say he’s dating Yvonne Nelson because he had different people he was seeing.  So, it was very hard for him to bring it out.”

Miss Nelson also admitted she has learnt a big lesson from her short-lived romance with Iyanya.  Said she: “There are some things that you don’t get to learn in school; people can advice you, you won’t even listen. You just have to experience it to learn.  I have no regrets that I went through it.  It would have happened anyway.  We are all human beings. We fall in love once in a while but if it doesn’t work out, that’s ok.”

Yvonne also told her interviewer what attracted her to Iyanya.  According to her, the abundantly talented Nigerian singer is a ‘total package’.

“You can’t really explain when you love somebody. It’s everything. It was just something that I felt and I can’t explain.  It was love.  I really loved him and he knows that.”

Although the prolific movie star had kind words for Iyanya whom she described as an amazing personality, she, however, advised him to be more honest and honour his words.

Yvonne also assured Your Waist crooner that nemesis would sooner or later catch up with him.

“It’s not good if he takes advantage of women.  My mom always says any man who takes advantage of women won’t end up well. It’s Karma.  It’s going to come back to you. He should treat women fairly and he should be an honest person.  It has been a while though I haven’t seen him.  He’s doing amazing things in his career and I wish him luck.”

Pretty and sexy Yvonne Nelson would be 28 on November 12, 2013.  The former Miss Ghana contestant, model, film maker and entrepreneur has been in the movie industry for over a decade.  With more than 50 movies to her credit, she had featured in The Return of Beyonce, Princess Tyra, Crime to Christ, To Love and To Cherish, Tears of Womanhood, Passion and Soul, The Playboy, Girls Connection, Golden Adventure, Local Sense, Festival of Love, Keep my Love, Strength of a Man, The Queen’s Pride, Single and Married (her personal production) amongst others.

Contacted for comments on Yvonne Nelson’s claims on Sunday, June 23, 2013, Iyanya categorically said he wouldn’t bandy words with her.  The music star who spoke through his manager, Ubi Franklin accused the actress of seeking attention and cheap popularity.

“No, we are not saying anything.  We are working on something.  Yvonne Nelson wants publicity,” Iyanya’s Made Men Music Group management stated in the exclusive chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly.

Before Yvonne Nelson’s confession, both had always denied dating each other. It even got to a point that Iyanya openly denied ever nursing intimate relationship with the beautiful actress. In fact, Yvonne and Iyanya had continued to live in needless denials of their romance even when ENCOMIUM Weekly broke the news of their affair with exclusive photographs of their first outing at Elegushi Beach, Lagos.  Like we reported back then, Yvonne Nelson spent a couple of days in Iyanya’s Lekki, Lagos crib having mad fun.  The steamy affair, however, crashed in less than seven months after controversial actress, Tonto Dikeh allegedly sneaked into the popular artiste’s life.  Humbled, heart-broken and disappointed, Yvonne Nelson leaked their romance on her way back to Ghana.  She kept to herself since the sad experience only to open up recently on how Iyanya broke her heart.
