Zenith Bank raid: Nigerians recommend first class treatment for injured policeman

The only survivor of the shootout with armed robbers at Zenith Bank branch on Wetheral Road, Owerri, the Imo state capital, Sergeant Otu Atang, who lost his eyes, was promised that he will be promoted to another rank. But Nigerians call for his promotion and suggest appropriate rank…

TEMITOPE

Government should at least treat him first, take care of his family and give him a higher rank.

FRANK NNADI

I think the government should just settle him for life, they should forget about him working again and help him out because he fought a good fight.

ANDREW OLA

I think they should promote him from being a mere Sergeant to a police officer, he deserves it.

PAUL UZOR

They should treat him first and make sure he is physically fit before talking about promotions.

ESTHER IGBA

The federal government should accelerate his income but he should be treated first.

ENENCHE AKOR

It’s not by mere saying it, Government should start working out ways he could survive his plight. The man is a brave man indeed, therefore, he should be honoured.

JOSHUA RANSOME

I don’t think you should get a rank because you got shot. You were only in line of your duty, doing your job. He should be treated and given paid leave then come back to work. Promotion should come by due process, after going for promotional courses not by taking a bullet.
