It’s actually difficult to contract diseases from public toilets unless you are not finicky about hygiene.
Germs lurk everywhere, but what you do in public toilets exposes or protects you from catching diseases.
Here are a few things Dr Preethi Daniel, a physician with National Health Scheme recommend:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly after visiting any toilet.
2. Use antibacterial hand sanitizers or wipes.
3. Cover seats with toilet paper or clean with wipes.
4. Make minimal contact with floors, never put anything (even your bag) on the floor.
