FAMILIES, friends and well-wishers are celebrating urbane and suave gentleman, Femi Segun who passed on today (Friday, March 21, 2014) at 4 a.m in Lagos.
The polyglot who spoke a number of European languages was a diplomat, banker and later set up in his private business, Coltrane in the earth of Lagos. He reportedly died following complications from multiple injuries sustained in an accident in Lagos on his power bike.
The accident, on Friday, March 14, 2014, saw him in hospital for a week. Femi passed away this morning, exactly a week after he survived a motor bike accident. He died today, leaving two daughters (Rolari and Fikemi) and his judge wife.
Femi Segun, son of legendary writer, Mabel Segun, was once married to Yeni Kuti (daughter of iconoclast originator of Afrobeat, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti).
And from across the world, eulogies have poured forth on the gentleman with the sonorous voice who was the ultimate master of ceremonies.
