More than 300 rape cases were investigated by police as sexual crimes in British schools rose sharply in the last three years.
According to figures released by British Independent newspaper, more than 2,800 cases of sexual abuse were reported between 2011 and 2013, of which more than 320 were alleged rapes.
The statistics, provided by 37 out of 46 police forces across the UK, showed that more than 50 percent of the offences were allegedly committed by children, and 90 percent of the alleged abuse victims were children.
