Defence authorities have again claimed killing Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau in a battle between 12 and 17 of September, 2014 in Kodunga, Bornu State.
Earlier claim of killing Shekau was made in August by Sagir Musa, a former spokesman for the Joint Task Force in the North-East.
Meanwhile, authorities maintained that their ultimate aim is not the killing of the Islamist group’s leader, but the complete surrender of the group to peace.
