Rising Nigerian producer and songwriter Kourage Beatz NSI has officially announced his upcoming EP titled To Listen Is to Understand, slated for release on May 23, 2025, through NSI Nation in partnership with Ditto Music. The 7-track project arrives just two months after the critically lauded sophomore album The Footprint and promises to expand the sonic and emotional universe Kourage has been carving.
Serving as both a follow-up and a counterbalance to The Footprint’s reflective depth, To Listen Is to Understand leans into raw storytelling, bold collaborations, and genre fusion. The EP features guest appearances from BoyNoms, Yanga Chief, Davi 6ix, and Dyke Uso, artists who bring distinctive flavors to Kourage’s already genre-fluid soundscape boom bap rap and hip hop rap to melodic rap.
In a press statement, Kourage Beatz NSI described the project as “a conversation with those who hear beyond sound,” emphasizing that each track carries a layered narrative: “It’s not just music. It’s what I’ve been trying to say if you really listen, you’ll understand.”
