Arunma Oteh commends Otedola’s business memoir, Making It Big

Arunma Oteh, economist and former Vice President and Treasurer of the World Bank commends
the business memoir of tycoon Femi Otedola in a remarkable endorsement.

The former Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (2010 – 2015) wrote a blurb serenading ‘Making It Big: Lessons from a Life in Business’ by Femi Otedola as one of the most important business books.

In an X and Instagram post by the Chairman of First HoldCo PLC and Geregu Power PLC today (Thursday, August 7), Ms Oteh’s succinct testimonial read:

“When a very successful person openly tells you their weaknesses, you know you are reading an honest account. Femi tells us a frank story of how he stopped being chief executive and transitioned to being an entrepreneur to save his business empire.

“This book contains a lot of hard truths we all know, but are hardly discussed in public, such as the delicate relationship between business and politics. This is one of the most important books you will ever read on entrepreneurship in a developing country.”

Otedola, 63 on November 4, 2025, further announced in the post:

“The ONLY place to secure your copy is: www.makingitbigbook.com.

“Don’t miss your chance to pre-order before August 18th…”
