Kuda Partners Lovers & Frnds for Valentine’s edition, Celebrates Love Beyond Romance

Kuda Microfinance Bank (Kuda MFB) partnered with Lovers & Frnds for its Valentine’s edition which was held on Sunday, February 15, at Space Hub Lekki, Lagos, positioning the Kuda brand within a lifestyle experience centred on love, friendship, and meaningful social connections.

The event featured an R&B-themed music experience, games, and gift exchanges, attracting couples, friend groups, and solo attendees. The event stood out for its inclusive approach to Valentine’s celebrations, moving beyond a couples-only narrative.

A notable feature of the night was colour-coded tags indicating relationship statuses, for openness and easy social interactions throughout the event. Attendees picked up the tags at the venue: red tags for those in relationships, yellow for singles open to mingling, and orange for singles who didn’t want to mingle with.

Music was central to the experience, with DJs playing R&B sets that defined the mood of the night. One of the DJs was TGarbs, whose performance drew strong reactions from attendees and showed her growing relevance on the Lagos nightlife scene.

Kuda MFB’s on-the-ground activation included a branded photo booth, merchandise giveaways, and interactive prize activities, with Kuda customers on its Premium loyalty tier enjoying complimentary drinks.

Beyond entertainment, the bank played a functional role at the event, with vendors accepting payments with Kuda Business POS terminals for smooth cashless transactions across the venue. The event was also supported by multiple lifestyle and consumer brands.

Emmanuel Femi-Adejobi, Senior Brand Manager at Kuda MFB said the partnership is proof of the bank’s intent to connect with its current and potential customers in ways that are particularly relevant to their lifestyles.

“We’re intentional about the experiences we [Kuda MFB] associate with. Our focus is on partnering with events that are in tune with the interests and lifestyles of our customers, especially in music and entertainment. With Lovers & Frnds, we created a space for our customers to enjoy an experience they genuinely connect with and want to be part of. We’ll keep supporting experiences that naturally match the way our customers live and celebrate life,” he said.
