At this point, Wura has become a show where every character is reacting badly to pressure and somehow creating even bigger problems for themselves. And the funny thing is, they usually think they are helping the situation.
Currently airing on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family on DStv and GOtv, Season 4 has completely moved past secrets and quiet manipulation. The secrets Wura buried are now blowing up in everybody’s face. The real problem is that nobody seems emotionally equipped to deal with the truth that keeps landing on their heads every other episode.
Here is what has been happening so far:
Wura Is Still Trying To Control Everybody And Its Honestly Exhausting
Wura (Scarlet Gomez) has survived shootings, arrests, investigations and public disgrace, yet the woman still wakes up every morning ready to manipulate somebody else. At this point, you almost have to admire the consistency.
After failing to silence Tumi in prison, she allegedly tries to manipulate evidence again just to frame her one more time, only for the entire thing to backfire and land her in detention instead. But even detention does not stop her from trying to control the narrative from behind the scenes, including attempts to pressure Tumi’s lawyer into backing away from the case.
The real issue now is that Wura still behaves like every situation can be fixed if she lies hard enough and moves fast enough. Unfortunately for her, everybody around her is slowly becoming tired of the performance.
Tumi Has Officially Reached Her Limit
If anybody deserves genuine rest on this show, it is Tumi.
This girl has survived attempted murder, prison drama, emotional betrayal, family confusion and enough trauma to last several lifetimes. Yet somehow, she is still standing and still pushing for justice for Pa Kuti.
The difference now is that Tumi no longer moves like someone waiting to be rescued. She is angry, emotionally exhausted and finally making decisions for herself, including filing for divorce from Jeje after everything that has happened between them.
At the same time, the emotional confusion surrounding her life is still very much alive. One minute she is dealing with the reality of Wura being her biological mother, the next minute her relationship with Dimeji is becoming awkwardly tense. Honestly, peace has completely avoided this girl.
Tony Really Thought He Could Stay Out Of This Mess
For the longest time, Tony behaved like Wura’s problems and his own life existed in two completely separate universes. That illusion has finally collapsed.
His compulsory leave as Commissioner of Police is one of the clearest signs yet that Wura’s chaos is no longer staying inside the house. The scandal is now affecting careers, reputations and public perception, and Tony is being forced to confront the reality of who his wife actually is.
The painful part is that the warning signs have always been there. Tony just kept choosing not to look too closely.
Kanyinsola Wanted Power Until Frontline Gold Started Falling Apart
Nobody can accuse Kanyinsola of not wanting the top position at Frontline Gold Mine. She has clearly wanted that seat for a while. The problem is that she inherited it at the exact moment everything started collapsing.
After pressure from the board forces Wura to step down, she suddenly puts aside her issues with her stepdaughter Kanyinsola and backs her as acting CEO. On paper, it looks like a major win. In reality, it is a corporate headache wrapped in family tension.
Now Kanyinsola is dealing with financial problems, internal pressure and the general mess Wura left behind. It turns out becoming CEO is a lot less glamorous when the company is practically fighting for survival.
Nobody In This Love Triangle Knows What They Are Doing
At this point, Tumi, Jeje and Dimeji are all emotionally confused in different ways.
Jeje still carries the guilt of everything that happened with Tumi and their marriage, Dimeji is clearly struggling with where he stands emotionally, and Tumi herself barely has room to process any of it because her entire life keeps falling apart every few episodes.
The show smartly avoids turning this into a simple romance drama. Instead, it feels like three emotionally exhausted people trying to figure out connection while surrounded by chaos, betrayal and unresolved trauma. And honestly, none of them seem okay.
What makes Wura work right now is that the show understands something very important: once secrets stop being secrets, the real drama begins. The tension is no longer about who knows the truth. It is about what people choose to do after learning it. And right now, everybody on this show is reacting badly.
Catch new episodes of Wura every weekday on Africa Magic Showcase at 8pm and Africa Magic Family at 8:30pm. You can also stream episodes on DStv Stream.
