The United States of America (USA) yesterday (October 8) announced that it will intensify the testing for the Ebola virus at airports, as the virus, yesterday (October 8), claimed its first American victim.
A suspected patient – a sheriff’s deputy – was rushed to hospital in Texas where he is being tested after he entered the Dallas apartment of victim, Thomas Eric Duncan, without wearing protective clothing.
Starting this weekend (October 11), new checks at five major US airports will include taking the temperatures of hundreds of travelers arriving from West Africa – precisely from Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
