Like we exclusively reported last week, boss of Papa’s Entertainment, Frank Okamigbo kicked off his birthday parties at the Home of the Destitute, Okobaba, Ebute Metta, Lagos, on Friday, October 31, 2014.
As usual, Okamigbo spent quality time with the less privileged, whom he later handed cash and gifts. In yet another show of his affection for the destitute, the celebrant dashed out his expensive gold wristwatch to one of the inmates.
Interestingly, a friend of Frank, Efizzy also gifted his precious wristwatch in solidarity with the birthday boy.
DOUBLE K SHINES @ FELABRATION
New music act, Double K put up a scintillating performance last week in Lagos at the Felabration music concert, one of Africa’s biggest musical events. The duo thrilled the mammoth crowd that gathered to celebrate the life and times of music icon, Afro beat pioneer and human rights activist, Fela Anikulapo Kuti with their music and sleek stage craft.
On the experience at the event, Kunle of the group enthused: “It was great, a golden opportunity for us because Fela is a legend in the music world not just in Africa but internationally. So being able to perform on the stage with other great African artistes to celebrate his life, is an experience we will cherish for a long time!”
The duo of Kunle and Kola who make up Double K, will soon embark on a promotional tour of Europe to promote their new single Kumanatale’ which has been enjoying massive airplay in Lagos and other parts of the country.
