The candidate of All Progressives Congress, Godwin Obaseki, has defeated Peoples Democratic Party’s Osagie Ize-Iyamu with a clear margin of 66,310 votes in yesterday’s gubernatorial election into Edo Government House.
While Obaseki polled 319,483 votes in the 18 local government areas, Ize-Iyamu recorded 253,173 votes.
The Independent National Electoral Commission will announce the results in the course of the day.
