Aaye Community Development Initiative: Mrs. Akeredolu organizes fun-filled empowerment program for Aaye children

In furtherance to her commitment to support/attract development to Aaye a remote community in Ifedore local government area of Ondo state, wife of Ondo state Governor and founder of Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu Foundation, (BAAF) Her Excellency, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu organized a fun-filled empowerment program, for children of the area.
The program which was organized under the auspices of Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu Foundation in collaboration with Emerging Communities Africa was put together to mark this year’s children’s day celebration.
In a release by the Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu Foundation, signed by it’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Austin Otabor, the organization said the objective of the program is to commemorate the International Children’s Day in Aaye community and organize fun-filled activities for the children, such as; building computer games, drawing games, painting competitions, art works, and dance competitions.
The release further revealed that the choice of Aaye community lies in the progressive nature of the community which has shown to understand the roles and importance of women and children in achieving sustainable development.The choice of Aaye according to the release also reflects BAAF’s commitment and the resolve of the founder of BAAF and first lady of Ondo state, to support the young female regent in the community in ensuring her reign brings lasting socioeconomic development to Aaye community.
Mr Otabor however, expressed hope that the program would identify young talents  and inculcate useful skills to Aaye children which he said are very important demographic components of Aaye and Nigeria as a whole.
The children’s party was appreciated by the children and members of the community as they expressed gratitude to the organizers for what they called first community organized children’s day party.
Highlights of the event were designing and playing self-created computer games on laptop, painting and artwork competitions and drawing games.
In a similar development, members of Arabinrin Junior Tennis club had what would be best described as fun-galore during a party organized by it’s founder, Her Excellency, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, at the Akure recreation club arena, Akure.
The event which witnessed; sharing of gift  items, indoor games, special rendition was part of the activities marking the 2019 children’s day.
