Amosun celebrates victory of Super Eagles over Chipolopolo

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has joined in the celebration of the victory of the Super Eagles, over the Chipolopolo of Zambia, making it the first African country to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament, scheduled for Russia.

Amosun hailed the feat of the team, recorded at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, last Saturday, describing it as a good omen for Nigeria, which is seeking to attain victory over all its challenges.

He acknowledged the doggedness of the players in the face of difficulties, in the build-up to the match and even on the field, which according to him, should be emulated by all Nigerians.

“We should now be convinced that with faith, resilience, and determination, we can attain greater heights. If we have a strong desire and will to succeed, no challenge should be able to withstand us in our quest for a better Nigeria”, he added.

He called for the continued prayers and support of Nigerians for the victory of the Super Eagles in the 2018 World Cup tournament in Russia.
