Ebola: Infected Briton flown home for treatment

A British health worker has left Sierra Leone on a UK-bound Royal Air Force jet after he tested positive for Ebola.

The yet-to-be-named man is to be flown to RAF Northolt near Heathrow on a specially-equipped C17 plane from where he will be taken to an isolation unit at the Royal Free Hospital in north London.

He is understood to have been a volunteer at a clinic in Sierra Leone’s Kenema district.
