What would you say has been sustaining your marriage?

Prayers have always been the foundation of my marriage. I put all my trust in God. And another important factor is friendship. I got married to my best friend. We support and understand each other perfectly.

How long have you been married?

We got married traditionally in 2007 and had a church wedding in 2008. I can say I have been married for seven years now.

Your husband has busy schedules that come with a lot of challenges, how will you say you have been coping?

Communication is very vital in every relationship. Whenever he is out of the house, we keep each other updated. He is always in touch with the kids too and he makes it up when he is around. So, it is always worth the while.

What advice do you have for other women out there?

Never rush into marriage for the wrong reasons. Make him your best friend first because friendship will sustain the marriage at every point. Life is better with your best friend, anyway.

It is communication. We tell each other the truth. We are honest with each other, even if one of the parties does not like it. We talk about everything, no matter how minute it is.

How long have you been married?

We have been married for two and half years.

Your husband has busy schedules that come with a lot of challenges, how will you say you have been coping?

It is not easy but the grace of God has been there. There are times you will want him home but he still has to go out.

What advice do you have for other women out there?

Try to be supportive, help as much as you can. Pray very well for him to succeed because he went out there to get money that will put food on the table.

God and then friendship. When you marry your friend, even if there is a challenge, the friendship will keep you going. There is love as well.

How long have you been married?

We have been married for a year and some months.

Your husband has busy schedules that come with a lot of challenges, how will you say you have been coping?

Though he is quite busy, he doesn’t joke with his family. He puts us first, no matter how busy his schedule. That attitude has helped me cope with the challenges.

How will you describe marriage?

It has been wonderful, it surpassed my expectations. God has been faithful.

What advice do you have for other women out there?

Every married woman should concentrate on making her husband her best friend. When you are good friends, the friendship will breed trust, honesty, love and other good qualities.

They should learn to tolerate each other. They should understand one another as well.
