First Call: DJ JImmy picks friend at Lekki

On Thursday, December 3, 2015, at about 10pm, sighted Africa’s numero uno DJ, Jimmy Jatt park his Range Rover jeep with registration number DH 407 on the road side of Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos. He was waiting for somebody, and immediately the person showed up, the Range Rover jeep zoomed off.

 

ORITSEFEMI CHILLS AT PAPAS

On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at about 2am, music maker, Oritsefemi drove into D’Place by Papas niteclub, Lekki, Lagos, in his tinted black Range Rover jeep with customized registration plate number TALIBAN. He was accompanied by a friend. After thorough jollification, he stepped out of the club at about 4:20am. He doled out N6,000 to the security operatives before he zoomed off.

 

TENNIS STAR JONATHAN IGBINOVIA VEERS INTO MUSIC

Nigerian lawn tennis champion, Jonathan Igbinovia who resides in the United States of America, has veered into music. The six-footer who is on Xmas and New Year holidays in Nigeria has released his debut single entitled, Nothing for Nothing.

Met the star at an event in Lekki, Lagos, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, where he revealed that the launch of his first single would be in two weeks.

 

AYO EHINDERO TAKES OVER GAMIT MALL

Barrister Ayo Ehindero, son of retired Inspector General of Police, Sunday Ehindero, now oversees his father’s shopping mall, Gamit on Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos. The young lawyer was spotted in the afternoon of Monday, November 31, 2015, leaving the Ehinderos residence which is very close to the mall. He strolled to the mall with a mobile police bodyguard behind him.

 

FUN TURF UNDER RENOVATION

Popular millionaire playground in Lekki, Lagos, Fun Turf is under lock. Management is renewing every section of the facility. The renovation started with laying of new artificial grass on the playground.

Learnt the renovation is expected to be completed before Xmas.

 

TERRY G AND FRIENDS STORM PAPAS

Controversial singer, Terry G and his team stormed D’Place by Papas niteclub. They arrived the club at about 2:15am on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, in a Ranger Rover jeep. They spent about one and a half hours before they left.

 

SHINA PELLER VISITS D’PLACE BY PAPAS

On Thursday, December 3, 2015, at about 4am, Shina Peller, proprietor of Quiox nightclub on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, Lagos, arrived D’Place by Papas niteclub, Lekki, Lagos, in a red Mercedes Benz car with a special registration plate number, QUILOX. A convoy of five cars was behind him.

He popped eight bottles of champagne before they left. He dashed N30,000 to security operatives and hangers-on.

 

ABIYE KARIBE-WHYTE RENEWS PASSPORT AT ALAGBON

On Monday, November 30, 2015, Mr. Abiye Karibe-Whyte was at the Passport Office, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos.

We have it on good authority that the Rivers gentleman was there to renew his passport.

Engineer Adeyinka Johnson, who left for the United States of America about four months ago, returned to Nigeria on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. The Islander was at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, Lagos, for a brief meeting with a friend.

Mr. Olugbon Braithwaite has taken delivery of a Harley Davidson power bike. We learnt the bike set him back by N4 million. He pulls it around town only on Sundays for obvious reasons.

Heyden Lamina, a fuel storage ocean vessel owned by Mr. Dapo Abiodun is now wearing a new colour. Fuel was discharged from the vessel on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at about 3pm. The fuel vessel is named after Dapo Abidoun’s daughter, Lamina.
