Funke Akindele’s second marriage supported by her family

The report in town that the second marriage of star actress Funke Akindele to Abdul Rasheed Bello on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in London (United Kingdom) didn’t get the support of her family has been labeled untrue by insiders. Apart from her younger sister Mrs. Abimbola Demehin attending the nuptials, her mother and siblings were with the couple in prayers.

An insider told Encomium.ng, “Those expecting a lavish society wedding and rumour mongers are the ones spreading tales about the event. They want a loud ceremony with aso ebi and all the elements of a big party, and they were disappointed.

“Because of her first wedding to Kehinde (Almaroof Oloyede on May 26, 2012), which was well celebrated in Lagos, you cannot expect a second wedding to be in that mold.

“They wanted a quieter, secret event away from prying eyes. And if you were in their shoes, you would do the same. Anyone who has gone through that route understands the pain.”

Another source volunteered: ” How can you say that both Kehinde and Abdul are similar because they have children from many women? For one, Abdul has never been married. And the mothers of his children are even happy that he’s settling down.”

The nuptials of the Jenifa star, 39, and her rapper and producer beau better known as JJC Skillz, also 39, surprised all as the news of the London event flew afield. She was decked in a beautiful white and orange flowery sleeveless gown brandishing her wedding ring on Instagram that Wednesday, August 24, on her birthday. Her husband’s daughter also posted some pictures which sent social media into a frenzy.

The wedding was attended by Bello’s children and family members, with Akindele’s younger sister addressed as Mama (Abimbola) present.
