Nollywood actor turned politician, Hon. Rotimi Makinde has just completed a N10 million church and two bedroom flats for a poor widow in Osun state.
The woman’s husband and four others were killed on the altar of their church at the eve of the 2011 Ile Ife Federal Constituency election where he emerged winner.
The building commenced sometime in June, 2014, and was completed few days back.
However, the gift, we gathered, has generated mixed feelings in Osun state. While majority commended his kind gesture, few claimed it was politically motivated. According to them, why did he wait till few months before the general elections to reach out to the poor widow?
Hon. Rotimi Makinde is of All Progressives Congress (APC). Born in December 1966, he is happily married.
