Muhammed Babangida, son of former military president, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (rtd),famously addressed as IBB, has maintained sealed lips on his father’s rumoured health challenge at the moment as the calls encomium.ng put through to his mobile phone were not picked, neither did he reply our text.
Meanwhile, IBB is reportedly seriously ill now, and he is said to have cut down on his social functions.
Although, details of his present health status couldn’t be ascertained, it can’t be unconnected with the fact that the former military dictator may be suffering a relapse of the radiculopathy disease which had troubled him since he was head of state.
“IBB, most times, is unable to walk unaided, without a walking stick or the assistance of his security aides. His illness became public a couple of days back when he attended the valedictory service held for former Niger state Chief Judge, Justice Fati Lami Abubakar, and was aided out of the venue before the end of the event.
“Even, he now travels to Abuja frequently for medical attention and has cut down on receiving visitors at his Minna, Niger home”, a source was quoted to have said.
But when Encomium.ng contacted his son, Muhammed, on Monday, April 18,2016, he kept mum.
