Inside Apostle Madubuko’s N3 billion Revival Assembly

Interestingly, not many gave Apostle Anselm Madubuko led Revival Assembly any chance of survival when they began in 1990. The ministry started on alleged accursed property on Orishe Street, Ikeja, Lagos. From that humble beginning, they exploded with three services every Sunday, which necessitated the speedy relocation to its present site at Revival Close, Cocoa Industry Road, Ogba, Lagos, in December 1994. And today, the ministry is worth N3 billion.

The N1 billion auditorium has a capacity of 10,000 worshippers. He nets in average of N1billion per annum from tithe and offering  from his congregation made up of business men and company executives. His major stream of income includes missionary work to the world. The ministry became vibrant through service groups and their heads.

The departments include the children’s ministry and the music ministry which leads the congregation in sessions of praise and worship at every programme of the church.

The Revival Children Academy is the school of the church where individuals are instructed and inspired, through the teaching of the word.

The Deliverance Ministry services the spiritual needs of the members by praying for them in the area of deliverance. This department is headed by Pastor Zebulum.

The Evangelism Department is responsible for crusades, outreaches, tracts and soul-winning of the ministry.

The Singles Fellowship which is for upwardly mobile young men and women is a forum for networking.

The Help Ministry is a forum that cares for the needy and it provides services, food and welfare materials to the needy.

Another major section is the Engineering Department which is in charge of the maintenance and operations of all equipment.

They also have the tape department. It is one of the departments to be reckoned with. The ministry records messages and makes them available in audio messages, CD and DVD format.

Furthermore, the additional team, handles the publication of books, magazines, and other pint materials of the ministry. The television ministry is responsible for the recording of all the programmes and they make them available for TV and radio broadcast.

The couple’s fellowship is another pillar in charge of welfare and organizing inspirational programmes for couples. This ministry is headed by Mr. and Mrs. Bayo Adeniyi, while Kenny Saint Best handles Teen’s Fellowship known as Extreme Klub. The club caters for youths.

The Achievers’ Fellowship is also one of the key instruments that drive the church. It’s a business fellowship where members are empowered for the labour market.

The Friends of God is the partner fellowship of the church. It is the financial group, reaching out to the world via television outreaches.

The instrument that really shot the ministry into limelight was the New Anointing World Outreach. This is an outreach The Revival Assembly positioned to reach the unreached.

Its mission is to evangelize Africa and the whole world. Though this ministry, Apostle Madubuko was able to break through the Eastern bloc – Russia, Ukraine and Poland – and America.

The Azuza Conference is also a major highlight of the ministry. In summer of every year (July), the church holds the Azuza Conference with emphasis on re-digging the 1904 movement, led by Williams Seyonour. This holds in Europe and Nigeria annually. The Revival Anniversary Conference which holds within the first two weeks of December, is also an event close to the heart of worshippers of the ministry.

The conference commemorates the birth of Revival Asembly as it reminds the congregation to keep the fire burning.

The 55 year old President of Revival Assembly and New Amazing World Outreach was born and raised in the Eastern part of Nigeria. He graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with a degree in Architecture and eventually started his own firm. He became a Christian at 25, and he fortified the comfort of success and heeded the call to full-time ministry at 33. In addition to conducting conferences, Apostle Madubuko ministers at retreats, church conventions and seminars. He is the President of Apostle Breakthrough Network.

He produces Christian television and radio programmes which allegedly has an audience of over 10 million. He also publishes the Gospel Forerunner, a Christian magazine and has also authored many books. Apostle Anslem and his Kenyan wife, Emmy, whom he married in August 2013, after his late wife Connie, reside in a magnificent duplex in Lagos.
