ISIS behead British hostage in new video

Islamic State extremists have released a new video showing the beheading of a British aid worker, David Haines, who was captured days after he arrived in Syria last year.

British government officials are,  however, yet to authenticate the footage which purportedly showed the final moments of the 44-year-old.

In the video, entitled ‘A Message to the Allies of America’ – a masked man is seen beheading Haines.  His life had earlier been threatened in a film showing the murder of American journalist, Steven Sotloff. The about 148-seconds clip ends with a warning  that a second British hostage would be the next to die.
