Joan Rivers: Star brought out of intensive care, ‘kept comfortable’

American comedienne and popular TV host, Joan Rivers has been moved out of intensive care and is “being kept comfortable” in a private room in hospital.

Her daughter, Melissa Rivers, confirmed this in a statement, and thanked the public for “your continued support”.

The 81-year-old host of the popular TV show, Fashion Police, was placed on life support at Mount Sinai hospital after she stopped breathing and suffered a cardiac arrest during surgery on her vocal chords at a private clinic.
