Judge gives Senator Abaribe 3 options on runaway Nnamdi Kanu

Justice Binta Nyako this morning (Tuesday, October 17) gave Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe three options as one of the sureties of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra.

The options are:

1. Produce KANU in court and thereafter ask to be discharged as a surety.

2. Forfeit N100 million bail bond.

3. Request for more time to produce KANU in court.

Senator Abaribe had approached the court to be discharged as a surety of Nnamdi KANU whose bail was granted on April 14, 2017.
The case was adjourned to November 20, 2017.
The leader of IPOB disappeared following the raid on his Abia home on September 24 by soldiers. Before then the association was pronounced a terrorist group by the federal government.
