London beheading: Suspect charged, appears in court

The man suspected to have murdered an 82-year-old woman in Edmonton, London on Thursday (September 4), has been charged and is to appear in court on Tuesday (September 9).

25-year-old Nicholas Salvador, of Enfield, North London, is alleged to have killed Palmira Silva with a machete in the garden of her home in Nightingale Road, Edmonton, earlier this week.

Salvador – nicknamed ‘Fat Nick’ – had been taken to hospital and remained under police guard before being questioned by officers and charged.
