Man blew £6.5million lottery winnings on cars and mansion – now lives in small flat with homeless friends

Lee Ryan was presented with a huge lifetime opportunity in 1995 when he won £6.5 million (N1.73bn) jackpot in the British National Lottery, but he blew all of the sum on a series of cars, a £2 million (N532m) mansion and a helicopter – and now he’s penniless.

Ryan (54), who now lives in a small flat in London (England) which he shares with homeless pals, says a series of disastrous business ventures and mishaps emptied his bank account.

He said: “The money was cursed because I took the p**s out of God when I asked him to make me a multimillionaire. My cellmate warned me to be careful what I wished for.”
