‘My children will continue Obasa Cup Football Competition after I have gone’ – Rt. Hon. Obasa

Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of Lagos House of Assembly has said that his children will sustain the Obasa Cup football competition that he started last year (2016) among senior secondary schools students in his Agege constituency.
The speaker was speaking at the finals of the competition which took place at Agege stadium yesterday, Thursday, October 26, 2017.
He also promised that the Speaker’s Cup football competition among local government councils in the state which was initiated by his predecessor – Rt Hon Adeyemi Ikuforiji, will also be resuscitated.
Yesterday finals was won by Government College Agege, Iyana Ipaja, Agege, in the female category while Lagos Baptist Secondary school, Oke – Odo, Orile Agege, clinched the trophy for the male category.
The special guest at yesterday final was the deputy governor, Dr Idayat Adebule, who was represented by Mr Deji Tinubu, Special Adviser to the governor on sports.
Other dignitaries present at the finals are Dr Samuel Adejare, the Commissioner for Environment, members of Lagos House of Assembly and Dr Alayande, the Tutor General/ Permanent Secretary of Educational District.
