‘She was too selective’ – Ngozi Nkoloenyi, Bride’s mother

Wonderful, feeling good is an understatement.  I am very happy, very glad.  You know what it means if a woman does not get married.  To God be the glory.  It is not that I was worried, no.  But my daughter was too selective of whom to settle with.  She is a career woman.  She made first class in Accountancy and Economics.  I am so proud of her.

What was your reaction when she brought him home?

When she brought the guy and said this is the guy I am in love with, I knelt down and said thank God at last.  I am giving her out to her best friend. That is the best I can do.  I have washed my hands off her. I left my parents to get married.  She is my best friend, my confidant.  We are very close, but I have to leave her.  She is my accountant.  She books my flight, I am going to miss her definitely. I love the two of them.

I feel very happy. I thank God for this type of occasion.  I am happy.

When your son brought her home, what was your impression about her?

I was very happy, to God be the glory.

What is your prayer for them?

I pray nobody will put asunder what God has joined together.  The Lord will help them build their home.

Your advice for them?

They should live together in harmony.  Always forgive one another. If there is any problem they should resolve it.

‘I wish them long life and prosperity’ -Obi Nkoloenyi, Bride’s brother

DSC_0146-002Congratulations, how do you feel today?

I am very happy today.

What is your prayer for the couple?

I pray that they have a very long, fruitful, successful marriage.  Prosperity is their portion in Jesus name.  They are already a very happy, hard working couple. They should give us nephews, nieces to add to the family.

Your wish for them?

I wish them pleasant success in all their undertakings. I wish them prosperity as well.

‘I feel elated’- Mrs. Udemezue, Groom’s stepmother

I feel elated, I feel uplifted by God.

Your prayer for them?

I pray God will continue to bless this marriage to His own glory.  God will give them a happy home, fruitful marriage and good things to take care of their children.

Your advice to them?

They should be patient with one another.  They should tolerate one another, it is only with tolerance that marriage can last.  They should remember that they are from different parents, there will be little misunderstanding once in a while.  The most important thing is that they are able to resolve it themselves, especially the woman.  They should always put God ahead of everything.
