Ambassador (Mrs.) Ifeoma Akabogu-Chinwuba, the Ambassador of Nigeria to Cote d’Ivore in Abidjan honoured High Chief (Mrs.) Sandra Duru during the just concluded West Africa Nigeria Conversation Centenary Leadership Award which held on April 5, 2014, at the Embassy of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The award was in recognition of Chief (Mrs.) Sandra Duru’s immense contributions to providing solutions to the unemployment, violence and educational problems in Nigeria. The award was after the presentation of her book, Strategies to Actualizing Students and Youth Support Trust Fund.
While speaking after the book presentation, Amb. (Mrs.) Ifeoma Akabogu-Chinwuba, described the book as a full package and the only tool to which the solution to violence and poverty in Nigeria can be resolved.
However, the ambassador gave her full endorsement and also promised to help spearhead the project.
The awardee who is also the founder and Executive Director of Pre-Adult Affairs Organization, said, “We are highly elated for this special recognition and we are calling on all Nigerians within and in the diaspora to key into this project so as to save our future, the future of our children and generation yet unborn.
The event had in attendance eminent personalities from Nigeria such as Mr. Segun Awolowo, Chairman of Nigeria Export Promotion Council, Jude Moses, Nigerian Youths President in Cote d’Ivore, Frank Ereko, Alhaji Tajudeen, EcoBank Regional Head in Cote d’Ivore. Others included Mr. Olaseni Bayewumi, Chairman of Nigeria Conversation, Mrs. Blackson, ECOWAS Representative, Mr. Ikemade, Amb. Coker and several representatives of concerned ministries from Nigeria.
