Her acting career started years back, and during her teacher training days in Afikpo, she had a Literature teacher who made her and her colleagues present a play every term.  When it was the turn of her set to present a play, she was given the role of Hamlet in Williams Shakespeare’s play of the same title and the production came out fine.  Other schools that offered Hamlet as a subject paid to watch the production.  In fact, they were invited to stage the play in so many other places in Eastern Nigeria.  Patience was very popular then and everywhere she went, people were calling her Hamlet.  But after she finished from teacher training college, she forgot everything about drama, until she went to Radio Nigeria, where Chika Okpala (Chief Zebrudaya of New Masquerade), invited her to take part in a commercial in which she played the wife of Pete Eneh.  The commercial was a mass orientation promo by the then Anambra State Government to encourage the indigenes acquire Western education before venturing into trading.  Her performance really impressed Zebrudaya and Pete Eneh and was encouraged to forge ahead.  However, she reluctantly succumbed to the advice.  But later she was pleasantly surprised the way she rose in the industry.
