Juju Queen, Kofoworola Ayotunde Balogun, simply addressed as Queen Ayo Balogun, was yesterday, Thursday, October 26, 2017 installed the Yeye Bobaseye of Ilesa, Osun state by His Royal Majesty (HRM), Owa Obokun of Ijesa land, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran along other eminent natives and non natives, including former Ogun governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel. And the gracefully ageing musician is very happy and excited about the honour.

In a chat with encomium.ng on Friday, October 27, 2017, the pretty and talented entertainer expressed gratitude to God for the recognition bestowed on her by the influential monarch. She, however, pledged to live up to her billing as a true daughter of the ancient town.

“Yes, I was accorded the title of Yeye Bobaseye of Ilesa, yesterday, Thursday, October 26, 2017, by His Royal Majesty, Owa Obokun of Ijesa, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran. I was surprised when I  got a letter to that effect from him sometimes last month. To be honest, I didn’t expect it. I felt greatly honoured to have been recognised at home by a royal father of that eminent status. It’s a great honour, and I am very happy about it. I pledge to be equal to the task as Yeye Bobaseye of Ilesa. I must not disappoint my Kabiyesi for his belief in me. And for him to have given me the title, he has equally considered me fit for it, and I can’t afford to let him down.
