American singer, songwriter and ‘Happy’ crooner, Pharrell Williams will be the musical director of this year’s “Live Earth” concert slated for June 18, later this year.
The concert, which aims to galvanize demands for climate action, will feature more than 100 artists.
The event logistics will be organised by producer Kevin Wall, who also took charge of the 2007 Live Earth concert to boost climate awareness.
Wall said the June 18 event would comprise concerts “in major stadiums” – starting in China and moving to Sydney (Australia), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Cape Town (South Africa), New York (USA) and Paris (France).
