English Premier League side – Tottenham Hotspurs supporters have unanimously agreed to a short-term move to England’s national stadium, Wembley, after it was announced that a temporary home would be required due to a delay in the construction of their new stadium.
A challenge in the High Court has resulted in a revised stadium construction programme, and now the shortest build time means the club must leave their home ground – White Hart Lane – to allow the new stadium to be built adjacent to the present site.
A survey conducted by the Tottenham Hotspurs Supporter’s Trust published last month showed that 85 percent of more than 2,000 respondents were prepared to watch games at the national stadium, which co-incidentally is also in North London.
