One look at her will show why she is called Omosexy. 37-year-old Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde was born into a middle-class family of strict Methodists in Lagos. Her father was the manager of the Lagos Country Club, while her mother worked for a local supermarket chain.
Omotola is a singer, actress and former model with a big heart. Her philanthropic work are as legendary as her acting. The United Nations (UN), World Food Programme ambassador owns the Omotola Youth Empowerment Programme (OYEP), an NGO which empowers youths.
The mother-of-four Lagos indigenes is one of prettiest faces in Africa, and as a result, she has starred in several blockbuster flicks throughout her career, some of which are Last Flight to Abuja; Ije; Games Women Play; Ties that Bind; Mortal Inheritance; Amina and others. Many consider her Africa’s biggest box office actress.
In 2013, multi-talented, multi-award winning thespian was honoured in Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world – a rare feat – alongside US First Lady, Michelle Obama; American music star, Beyonce and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
The light-skinned stunner broke TV records with her reality show, Omotola: The Real Me after it pulled in more viewers than Oprah Winfrey’s and Tyra Banks’ shows combined!
She owns an Infiniti QX56 SUV with a customized plate number, ‘Omo-T’ and a few others.
