The All Progressives Congress’ governorship primaries in Lagos is now in the counting of votes stage, and soon a winner will emerge from the 13 aspirants.
The Onikan Stadium, Lagos Island venue of the keenly contested event, which was meant to have about 3,000 delegates had qualified party men from 20 local government areas (with the 37 local development councils disallowed from voting).
Party chieftains are on ground to ensure that the ballots are properly sorted and counted. It is unclear when the final result will be declared, but sources say Lagosians have only a few more hours to wait.
encomium.ng learnt that neither Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC leader and the state’s former governor, as well as the incumbent , Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) didn’t turn up at the venue.
