Want to live long, stay happy

A new study has revealed that happy people live longer.  Not minding your health, income, marital status and the rest, ‘very happy’ people have more tendencies to live longer than those ‘not very happy’ or ‘not too happy’.

The study carried out by researchers at the University of North Carolina (United States of America) on 30,000 adults showed that happy people handle stress better and have a strong network of friends.

Higher incomes, crime-free neighbourhoods, and good public health programmes may provide security, safety and reduced disease, but they do not necessarily produce happiness.

‘Happiness may provide a route toward more enjoyable and longer lives,’ it is revealed.
