A woman beaten by a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer on the side of a freeway in an incident caught on film will receive $1.5 million (N240m) in settlement
CHP Commissioner, Joe Farrow, confirmed the settlement, reached after a nine-hour mediation session in Los Angeles (LA) yesterday (September 24) night, in a statement.
The officer, Daniel Andrew, ‘has elected to resign’, but could still be charged criminally in the case.
