Alhaji Aliko Dangote promised to bankroll the christening of the first child of Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi anywhere they choose to stage the ceremony in the world.
The pledge was made during the wedding reception of Mr and Mrs Ajibade on August 8, 2025, where Dangote was chairman.
During the Chairman’s opening remarks at the reception in Iceland, Alhaji Aliko Dangote offered the couple his gift after telling them elements that elongate unions:
“I know that you have a lot of friends. Once you get married, you drop friends—and everything is between two of you. Don’t discuss your affairs with anybody. Whatever it is, sort it out within yourselves. And you have been together for a while. I am sure this will be the best wedding (marriage) in town. I wish you all the very best.
“I am sure within the next one year or so we will have… I will give you a very big party for the first child. So, you have to choose where we are celebrating the first child—whether it is London, Iceland, we come back here. Greenland. USA? Maybe we will go to Miami to celebrate.
“Thank you Captain Ajibade, Femi and Nana for making this wedding happen. It is the greatest thing that has happened this year.”
The nuptials of the Ajibades—in Monte Carlo on May 9 with a registry certification, July 5 Dubai traditional engagement shindig and church and reception in Reykjavik and Morsfellsbaer on August 8—was private but magical and elegant.
Tosin and Temi Ajibade first met in London in January 2017, and got engaged five years later in Venice (Italy). And their union was solemnised on August 8 in Reykjavik (Iceland).
