Of course the election has come and gone, and people expect their elected politician to immediately give them dividends of democracy without delay.
However, it is pertinent to recognize some distinguished personalities who played leading roles in the process. This is what Governor Ibikunle Amosun FCA, has done through some of his aides to directly appreciate contributions of some leaders in the state.
Thus, the former Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters led by Prince Adeniyi Adesanya as well as that of Former Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Barrister Yusuph Olaniyonu, on behalf of the governor, wrote officially to commend and appreciate the leading role of Otunba Babatunde Onakoya (Debasco), the Chairman, State Mobilization Committee of Senator Ibikunle Amosun Campaign Organization and Patron APC Fan Club, Ogun State.
One of the letters read, ‘You have played gallantly a leadership role in cash and commitment, it is a true testimony that you are a good leader that is grounded and loved by your people in Ogun East Senatorial District.’
The letter went ahead to specifically mention that ‘The adverts and political jingles you placed in the course of our political activities are well noted and your group (Debasco Group) stands tall in this government’.
The Ministry of Information also acknowledges the receipt of publications he made for the Governor in ‘THE ISSUES’ for posterity sake.
