The eagerly anticipated tenth edition of Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) is around the corner! Nominees have been announced in preparation for the awards which is set to take place on May 11, 2024, at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria.
Following the nominee announcements, viewers can now vote for whom they want to see rewarded for their impeccable contributions to the African film industry. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to vote in the nine public voting categories:

Website votes are free, but data costs may apply. It is also important to note that each user can cast up to 100 votes per voting platform during the voting round.
This year’s edition has undergone some notable changes. The award categories have been reduced from 33 to 27. These categories include 16 non-voting ones, to be decided by a jury of experienced filmmakers headed by Femi Odugbemi, and 9 audience voting categories. The public will determine the winners in categories such as Best Digital Content, Best Indigenous Language (West Africa), Best Scripted M-Net Original, Best Unscripted M-Net Original, Best Indigenous Language (East Africa), Best Indigenous Language (Southern Africa), Best Multichoice Talent Factory Movie, Best Indigenous M-Net Original and Best Short Film. Deloitte will audit the judging process and verify voting results as always. Additionally, there will be 2 Recognition Awards: Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer Awards.
With the voting deadline set for April 28th, viewers are encouraged to ensure their choices count by casting their votes for their favourite actors in each category before the window closes.
