Award winning school, Blooming Greens School sets for her maiden edition of Game festival

Blooming Greens School was established in 2016 with 31 pupils by Mrs Susan Babatunde-Yamah who is also the Proprietor/CEO. Within our short appearance in the education industry in Nigeria, we have set standards that have become points of reference to even those that have been in the industry for decades. Within six months of our existence, we got the approval of the Lagos State Ministry of Education.

We got accredited with the Association of International School Educators of Nigerian within our first year of existence. We are at the verge of adding another feather to our cap by getting accredited with the British Council International Primary Programme.

All these are only possible with the unrivalled high quality of teaching and learning as well as the state of the art facilities that are littered all over the school.Just few months into our third year, our children’s presentations on #MyFreedom Day, a project of CNN aired on two occasions by the CNN due to their brilliant presentation.Recently, our children in Year 5 participated in the annual National Mathematics Competition that was organized by the Nigerian Tulip International College in conjunction with the National Mathematical Centre Abuja.

Irrespective of their age and class, none of them got below 65%. In fact, one child came 43rd among almost ten thousand participants in the state with a score of 85% with 4 other children scoring above 73%. This was our first attempt and we feel very proud of it.Similarly, our Year 4 children participated in the AISEN’s Annual Public Speaking Competition earlier this term. Among other notable International Schools in Nigeria, our school came third.

This is a confirmation that ours is a perfect school for building the total child. All is set for our maiden International Excursion in August. Our maiden Games Festival is what we are celebrating now and it will hold on April 12, 2019. These are giant strides that many schools struggle to achieve in decades. But ours is different, we do it right, applying International Best Practices in all we do. Little wonder that our growth is in leaps and bounds, with enrolment just a little below 200. This is phenomenal!

We have continued to equip our pupils with the highest quality and standard of education in mind and intellect applying international best practices, while acknowledging how fast the world is changing and knowing our pupils will have to adapt in a rapidly evolving world.
