Passengers on Eurostar and ferries will be subjected to extra passport checks and freight scanned more frequently, a meeting of the Cobra emergency committee was told.
Extra British police will be on duty at the Eurostar terminal at Paris’ Gare du Nord station, as well as at Calais.
