Democratic Party controlled Federal Government has failed to secure the lives and properties of Nigerians.
Senator Saraki gave this assurance during campaigns in Ilorin South local government area of the State held at Fufu, Tanke, Okaka and Balogun Fulani areas of the local government council.
The former governor of Kwara state said the unending violence in parts of the country, especially in the North East has shown that the Peoples Democratic Party lacks the capacity to guarantee the safety of Nigerians and their properties.
“The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) is a seasoned and tested administrator with huge capacity to protect the welfare of Nigerians.
In the 1980’s when there was uprising in parts of the country, Gen. Buhari as General Officer Commanding in the Nigerian Army immediately brought the situation under control.”
The former governor of Kwaras State advised all Nigerians of voting age to collect their PVCs in order to be eligible to vote in the forthcoming elections.
Dr Saraki also urged the electorate to ensure the sanctity of the electoral process by ensuring their votes are counted at the polling centres in their presence in order to avert malpractices.
The governor of the state, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed, in his remarks at the various campaign grounds said that his administration has improved the quality of life of the people through various empowerment programmes
and job creation initiatives.
