Burt Reynolds selling off memorabilia as he struggles financially

One of the brightest Hollywood stars of the 1970s, Burt Reynolds is auctioning off hundreds of his possessions, including award plaques and costumes from his blockbuster films as his financial woes worsen.

His Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the 1997 movie, Boogie Nights is among over 600 personal items in the catalogue up for sale in Las Vegas (Nevada) next month (December 11 and 12).

In a foreword in the catalogue, the Deliverance star says: “I’ve collected so many things that I truly adore but at this stage in my life I find it very difficult to manage them all. The fact of the matter is that it truly is the time to downsize and for these items that I have loved over the years find new homes where they can be cared for and appreciated”.
