CACOVID spends N23 billion to feed 10 million Nigerians

The Coalition Against Covid-19, the initiative by the private sector, is joining charitable Nigerians to address feeding the underprivileged across the 774 local government areas of Nigeria.
In an Instagram post today (Monday, April 20, 2020), Mr Femi Otedola, a member of CACOVID, posted a video announcing the distribution of food items.
The Chairman of Geregu Power PLC posted:

CACOVID devotes N23 billion to feed 10 million Nigerians: In the next few days, food items will reach 1.67 million households across the wards of the 774 local government areas to reduce the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The private sector-driven initiative, led by the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Godwin Emefiele, is working on the best methods to distribute the food items (as shown in the video above). Apart from erecting isolation and treatment centres across the country, this first phase of providing food items is paramount.

The video, which has over 111,000 views at 6:45 pm, features Messrs Godwin Emefiele, Aliko Dangote, Herbert Wigwe and Lagos commissioner for health Prof Akin Abayomi, at CACOVID’s isolation and treatment centre in Yaba (Lagos Mainland) during construction.
