Contrary to social media report, Yoruba comic actor, Olaniyi Afonja, more popularly addressed as Sanyeri, who formalized his marriage to the mother of his children, Motunrayo, has denied selling the Compact Disc (CD) of the colourful wedding to a marketer for N1 million. He added that he knew nothing about the deal.
Speaking with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Friday, January 17, 2014, the Oyo born role interpreter, however, confirmed that the CD, Igbeyawo Sanyeri is actually out for sale.
“It’s true that my wedding CD is in the market but I am not the one who sold the master CD. It’s Pasuma who owns the music that the marketer contacted, not me. But I don’t see any reason some people are creating an issue out of that. I don’t know anything about what the marketer offered. It’s none of my business”.
On Sunday, December 1, 2013, all roads led to Anchor Event Centre, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos, when Opakan, as Sanyeri is also known legalized his romance with his pretty partner of eight years, Motunrayo.
The colourful ceremony was attended by dignitaries from all spheres of life, including the colleagues of the talented film maker. Among those in attendance were Oga Bello, Yinka Quadri, Afeez Oyetoro (Saka), Femi Adebayo, Fathia Balogun, Odunlade Adekola, Murphy Afolabi, Iya Rainbow, Muyiwa Ademola and others.
