Ebola: UK makes U-turn, to screen travelers from disease-hit countries

Travelers coming into Britain from countries affected by the Ebola virus will be screened as the United Kingdom (UK) makes a panicked U-turn, yesterday (October 9).

Following days of indecision, ministers have finally announced that passengers landing at Heathrow and Gatwick airports from areas hit by the deadly virus will face “enhanced screenings”.

This is coming on the heels of the UK’s defence minister – Michael Fallon – saying earlier yesterday that such  measures were not needed.
