Gina Mensa back in Nigeria again

– Donates cash, gift items to orphanages, churches

GHANAIAN-Nollywood actress, Georginah Oseimensah, better addressed as Gina Mensah, who has been shuttling Nigeria and Ghana since the beginning of this year is back in Nigeria again at the moment, encomium.ng can authoritatively reveal.

The real reason the pretty role interpreter returned to Nigeria a couple of weeks back, encomium.ng was informed by an industry source, was to consolidate on her soaring career as she is  now among the most sought after actresses in both Nollywood and Gollywood, and that has been keeping her busy all day and night. Not only that, she is also in Nigeria to appreciate the presence of God in her life and career by putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged, especially the orphans which has always been her over riding pledge since she started out as an entertainer. She, therefore, a couple of days back, redeemed the pledge by giving back to the society that made her since her career received a boost here in Nigeria.

We learnt the hardworking thespian paid visits to some orphanages in Lagos, including Surulere, Ikeja, Agege and few other places where she donated a lot of gift items and cash. The brilliant Ghanaian film maker also visited the Remand Home in Yaba, Lagos where her presence also made a significant impact in the lives of the children there.

When encomium.ng contacted Mensah o. Monday, September 11, 2017 on her mission for the kind gesture, she explained, “I just found it necessary and even very important to bless others, especially orphans and other less privileged around because, to me, there’s constant need to appreciate God by blessing others since you have also been blessed by that same God that created them. I believe no matter how little you have, you can still share out of it with others around you.

On whether the act was tagged to her birthday, she argued, “No, it doesn’t have to do with my birthday. To set the record straight, my birthday is not this month. So, that tells you it’s not only on one’s birthday that one can show spirit of love to others, especially the less privileged.

“I have formed the habit even before I was shot to lime light and I have pledged to continue with it. Every little I get, I will be sharing it with those that are not privileged to get it.  And this is the society that made me, i therefore deemed it fit to give back to it. And I thank God for His blessing on my life and career. So, I must appreciate him by making others smile as well. I therefore enjoin my colleagues and other well meaning Nigerians who have not been doing that to imbibe the spirit of giving and lift others who are in need of help.”

On the places visited, the fashion designer cum actress stated, “Yes, I visited a couple of places, including Hearts of Gold, Surulere, Little Saints Orphanage, Anthony Village, Remand Home, Yaba, Morgan Hills Foundation, Ikeja. I also visited some churches. I give glory to God for using me to touch the lives of some people, especially the needy and i will continue in that spirit ad long as i live.”
