Gridlock extends commuting time by two hours around Ojodu, Berger, Omole and Ogba (Lagos) axis

The closure of Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi by Wemco Junction added two hours commuting time as motorists battled a backbreaking gridlock around Ojodu, Berger, Omole and Ogba (Lagos) axis.

Roads leading to Ogunnusi at both sides were blocked as the construction company in charge of the drainage, meant to direct flood waters towards the gorge in Omole estate, began work on Friday, March 28, 2014 – until April 7, 2014.

Many who thought the traffic jam would be bearable and left home a bit earlier were shocked by the ‘bumper to fender’ situation on the roads leading to Ogunnusi. Everywhere was blocked, and patience was the motto as all coped with the situation on Monday, March 31, 2014.
